    Bio: Prior to joining a16z, Jeff was managing director and head of taxable real assets at UBS Asset Management, a large global financial institution with approximately $1 trillion in AUM including about $150 billion in private real assets. Prior to UBS, Jeff was head of real assets at Jordan Park, a multi-family office managing approximately $18 billion of taxable and tax-exempt, global multi-asset portfolios. Jeff was previously a senior portfolio manager of alternative investments at Spring Creek Investment Management, Sequoia Heritage Fund, and Jasper Ridge Partners. He started his investment career as a proprietary options trader and has 25 years of investment and portfolio management experience. Jeff earned a BS with a double major in mechanical engineering and economics from Caltech and his MS in management science and engineering from Stanford. In his spare time, Jeff enjoys being a father, building things, making music, and outdoor sports like hiking, skiing, kayaking, and rock climbing.
