Bio: David Yankey founded Botany Bay Investments in 2024 to pursue value-add industrial assets across the Southeast. Specifically, Botany Bay targets sub-institutional assets that are typically $3-10mm in size. Prior to founding Botany Bay, David worked at InLight Real Estate Partners, an industrial real estate development firm. As an Originator, David was responsible for sourcing acquisitions and development opportunities in the Atlanta and Nashville markets. In his time with the firm, David was involved in over $200 million of capital deployment. Before InLight, David served as a Senior Director at Carter & Associates, a national mixed-use and multifamily development firm headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. A member and Senior captain of the football team at Stanford, Yankey was a two-time All American in college before being selected in the 2014 NFL draft. He played four seasons in the NFL with the Vikings and Panthers. He currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife, their son, and their Great Dane.
