Bio: Alex Thompson is a Vice President of Growth (Acquisitions & Development) at Storage Star, an investment firm specializing in self-storage across the United States. He is responsible for sourcing, underwriting and executing new self-storage investments and developments nationwide, specializing in deal structuring, financial analysis, entitlements and risk management. Alex also leads Storage Star’s efforts in deploying AI and data analytics for acquisitions and assists with capital raising. Prior to Storage Star, Alex worked at Trammell Crow Company and Applied Predictive Technologies, a data analytics consulting firm. Alex holds an MBA from Stanford University, where he was named an Arjay Miller Scholar. He holds a B.S in Economics from Duke University, graduating Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. Outside of work, Alex is an avid sailor, music enthusiast and aspiring golfer.
