Bio: Mona Qianmeng Li is a Developer at Essence Development, a social impact development company that aims to build sustainable, energy-efficient affordable and workforce housing and mixed-use developments in urban area that include access to healthcare and food security, partnerships with non-profits, and workforce development opportunities. Mona’s experience in real estate ranges from conversion of public housing, acquisition and rehabilitation of HUD-subsidized housing, and construction of mixed-income and mixed-use developments with Essence Development, to market-rate luxury condominium and rental developments from her time at Related California. Prior, Mona served in the Executive Office of NYC's Department of City Planning. Before that, Mona was a Management Consultant at Bain & Company, providing strategic direction to Fortune 100 companies. Mona holds a MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and Bachelor’s degrees in East Asian Studies and in Economics from Brown University.
