Bio: Mr. Johnson is the CA regional head of retail real estate at JPMorgan Chase Bank. He received a BA from Stanford and MBA in finance from Wharton. Mr. Johnson has 30+ years of experience in real estate and financial services, including 13 years as an investment manager of commercial real estate assets for U.S pension funds with Equitable Real Estate, managing $2B+ in transactions for CalPERS, CalSTRS and LACERA. He also served as Development Director for the $100M redevelopment of Colonie Center Mall in Albany, and Project Manager for the development of Renaissance Walk at Sweet Auburn–a $50 million P3/New Markets Tax Credit mixed-use deck development in Atlanta. He was an Adjunct Professor at Clark Atlanta University and Faculty Advisor for their ICSC sponsored diversity program. He served as Chief of Staff to Congresswoman Maxine Waters and is Chairman of the Board of Willing Workers, a LA-based nonprofit providing work opportunities and behavioral management services for the developmentally disabled in LA.
