Bio: Jack Elzinga is Managing Partner at Middle Door Homes, an investment platform focused on building a scale portfolio in the $5 trillion “missing middle” housing sector - 2-49 unit small multifamily buildings. Middle Door combines proprietary AI- & machine learning-driven analytics with institutional scattered site housing expertise, enabling disciplined acquisition at an attractive basis and systematic value creation and ongoing management at scale. Previously, Jack was part of the executive team at Home Partners of America (Blackstone), where he led initiatives across portfolio strategy, underwriting, dispositions, operational performance, and the company’s merger with Tricon Residential. His prior experience includes leading SFR acquisitions at Landis and a residential focus at LaSalle Investment Management (where he developed an early version of Middle Door’s neighborhood targeting model). He also held prior leadership roles at Boston Consulting Group and Google. Jack holds a B.A. in Economics from Harvard University and an M.B.A. from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
